Vote! It's a beautiful thing!

If women vote their true numbers, they will decide who will be our next President. You can help Get Out the Vote in these fun, encouraging ways:

Nail the Vote! -- Show the world your commitment to vote: paint your nails red, white and blue with V-O-T-E decals. For a donation you can get a 1000 Flowers Manicure Kit. Host a "Nail the Vote" Manicure Party with your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers the week of October 25, 2004 to paint each other’s nails and discuss the issues and candidates. Give nail files as gifts -- to your friends, teachers, hairdressers, manicurists, mothers, sisters, busdrivers, waitresses, car mechanics, doctors, and more! You can get the nail files for a small donation. Pass the word that they can register to vote online at this site (check the registration deadline for your state). Tell people you are planning to vote and remind people to vote on November 2.

Use the media to spread the word -- Use the 1000 Flowers Media Kit to tell people in your community the creative ways you are activating people to help our democracy blossom. Invite your local newspaper and TV station to your salon or your "Nail the Vote" Manicure Party to show how you are contributing to your community.

Get organized for November 2 -- Find the location of your polling place; confirm you are registered to vote; review ballot initiatives and local candidates; inform yourself about the issues and candidates: read your voting guide; seek out information in the newspaper, internet, and TV; talk about the issues and candidates with your friends, family, and neighbors. Help get people to the polls -- "Arrive with Five" at the polls: bring four friends. Organize carpools and babysitting on November 2. Tell your boss in advance that you will need to take time off to vote on November 2. Use 1000 Flowers' complete Voter Checklist. Remember, friends don't let friends not vote.

Make a donation to 1000 Flowers -- Your donation will enable us to print and distribute "Nail the Vote" materials to beauty salons and volunteers, targeting eight states across the country.
